Make your own teacups and learn about tea in this fun, beginner-friendly workshop in partnership with Art of Tea.
Saturday, April 24, 12:00-1:30pm
Still Life Ceramics at ROW DTLA

Los Angeles, CA 90021
What makes the perfect cup of tea? Is it the water temperature? The cup? The tea? All of the above? To find out, we've partnered with Art of Tea to bring you this workshop where we'll create our own handmade teacups and talk all about the elements that go into making a sublime cup of tea. Participants will hand build a set of two cups using beginner-friendly methods, while sipping and learning about tea from Art of Tea's experts. You'll also take home some samples from Art of Tea to enjoy with your newly built cups.
Join us in person at our Downtown studio, or pick up a supply kit from us and participate from home via Zoom. Beginners welcome; no clay experience necessary.
This workshop is led by Still Life Ceramics co-founder Mel Keedle. Mel has been making pottery on and off the wheel for several years and has a true talent in creating pieces that are beautiful and modern with a focus on functionality.
What's included: Clay, tools, firing for two pieces, and tea samples courtesy of Art of Tea (included when you pick up your finished pieces after they have been glazed and fired).
All skill levels welcome; no experience necessary
