Kevin Kowalski has been exploring abstract sculptural vessels and has developed a few fundamental techniques that will get you started in your own practice. In this demonstration workshop Kevin will show you how to throw 8-12 lbs of clay, stack multiple thrown sections, and demo multiple ways of altering a sculptural vessel. Throwing experience required.

Kevin Kowalski graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a BFA in ceramics (2005) and MA in Education from Concordia, Irvine (2014). He currently lives and works in Placentia, Ca with his wife and two daughters. He teaches workshops online and in person and has taught workshops at Clay By the Bay, SF, Palo Alto Art Center, and Clay Share. You can find his work at Belger Arts, VW Contemporary and his Etsy Shop. He is currently the Department Chair and ceramics educator at Esperanza High School in Anaheim, Ca.
