March Continuing Handbuilding - DTLA Mateo St. Location
- Class Outline
Expand on the skills you learned in our Beginning Handbuilding class and discover what else is possible with clay. Lessons will vary but may include things like building larger forms, surface decoration and glazing ideas, or sculpture. Share your ideas with your teacher and they'll help you bring them to life.
We recommend having at least two months of handbuilding experience before taking this class; this could mean taking Beginning Handbuilding twice, or one month of Beginning Handbuilding plus one month of independent practice as a member.
Classes meet once a week for 2 hour sessions, with open studio time daily for you to practice on your own.
Course fee includes everything classes and open practice hours, a rainbow of cone 5 glazes to choose from, and firing for up to 15 pieces. Continuing handbuilding students may use studio recycled clay or purchase another type of midrange clay to work with.
We strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up. We do not offer make ups for this class.
