4 week online hand building and wheel class. Includes wheel rental!

Learn how to make pottery from the comfort of your own home! We’ve adapted our popular wheel throwing and hand building courses to be offered online in one comprehensive course. A great option for absolute beginners — or anyone with a little throwing experience who wants a refresher and some extra pointers and practice. We’ll loan you everything you need, including a potter’s wheel. Enrollment is offered at a discounted rate if you have your own wheel and supplies.

Classes meet online using Zoom, starting with two hand building classes on Tuesday nights, followed by two wheel throwing lessons on Saturday mornings.

Here’s what we’ll cover in this class:
Week 1: Slab building (Tuesday 7-8pm)
Week 2: Small sculpture (Tuesday 7-8pm)
Week 3: Throwing on the potter’s wheel (Saturday 10am-noon)
Week 2: Trimming, attaching handles, surface decoration (Saturday 10am-noon)

The class fee includes clay, tool/wheel rental (to be picked up from our studio and returned after your last class), four live class sessions, firing and glazing. Choose your glaze colors and our team will glaze your pieces for you, or watch our glazing tutorial and book a glazing session in the studio for $25.

If, after registering, you are unable to attend the class or workshop, we ask for a minimum of four (4) days' notice before your class when canceling your enrollment. This allows us time to offer your spot to another person. We can move your enrollment to a future date or give you a refund if we receive ample notice. If we are given less than four (4) days' notice, we can offer a 50% refund or credit (ie. 50% off a future booking).
