This class is available on the third Monday of each month:
- January 18th, 2021
- February 15th, 2021
- March 15th, 2021
Kurinuki – “to carve out” – is a method of making vessels by hollowing and carving a single block of clay. Many people find this process to be pleasantly meditative, and it yields pieces with beautifully organic shapes and textures. We will also learn how to mix two different types of clay to create marbled clay, which can be used for slab building, kurinuki, and more.
Beginners with no clay experience are welcome, but those with a bit of prior experience will get the most out of this class.
After registering, you will receive an email with instructions on where and how you can pick up your materials for the class.
