April 11+25: Making Pottery with Custom Stamps with Genna McCabe
Stamping is a great way to add detail to your ceramic work, and creating your own custom ceramic stamps offers endless possibilities for creating pieces that are completely unique! Our own Genna McCabe will teach you how to make stamps and show you how to use them to great effect.
This workshop will take place over two sessions: First, we will make our own stamps out of clay. Stamps will be fired in between sessions, and then we’ll get back together two weeks later to put them to use. Genna will show you how to make a vase and a tray — perfect Mother’s Day gifts!
Genna McCabe isn’t just our amazing General Manager, she’s also a ceramic artist with 10 years of experience under her belt. Genna makes vibrant and impeccably crafted pottery under the moniker Moonbeam Ceramics.
No clay experience is necessary for this workshop, and we will provide everything you need. Intermediate level potters who would like to try stamp making are welcome to join in too.
