During this four-week course, you will learn the basics of hand building through techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction. We will also go over surface decoration and get creative with glazing. Handbuilding is a freeform, meditative process and you'll be able to use your skills to create a variety of objects like teacups, vases, bowls, and planters.

This class is perfect for those who have no prior experience with clay, as well as wheel throwers who would like to try something different. The fee for this course includes covers instruction, clay, tools, glazes, and firing, plus open studio hours outside of class for more exploration in clay.

Classes are two hours long and run for four consecutive weeks. We strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up.

Cancellations made 4 or more days before the start of the class will be refunded. A 50% refund or 50% credit toward another class or workshop will be given for cancellations made fewer than 4 full days before the start date. We cannot provide refunds or credits for cancellations or rescheduling requests made after the class starts.
