Morning, Noon or Night at the Studio
Each time of day at our studios offers its own unique set of benefits and challenges, leaving us to ponder which we truly prefer.
We find ourselves torn between two studio worlds - the serene solitude of the early morning hours and the vibrant energy of the community that tends to gather in the early evening.
In the early morning, the studio is a peaceful oasis. The soft light filtering through the windows, the quiet hum of the kilns, the gentle whir of the pottery wheels - it all creates a sense of calm and tranquility that allows one to focus deeply on their work. There is a certain magic in the stillness of the morning, a sense of possibility and potential that inspires us to create and explore without distraction. We cherish these moments of quiet solitude, one can easily lose themselves in their work.
On the other hand, the early evening hours bring a different kind of energy to the studio. As the day winds down, fellow artists begin to trickle in, bringing with them laughter, conversation, and a shared sense of camaraderie. The studio comes alive with the sound of voices, the clinking of tools, and the buzz of creativity in the air. Working alongside others in this communal setting can be incredibly inspiring and motivating, pushing us to try new techniques, exchange ideas, and learn from peers.
The sense of community and connection that develops during these evening sessions is truly special, creating a sense of belonging and support that enriches an artistic journey.
So, which do you prefer - the quiet solitude of the early morning or the dynamic community of the early evening? We would love to hear from you! Post your comments here on the blog or share with us on our social @still_life_studios
